Product Selector

Rice Lake Product Selector

Use the filters as a specification checklist before contacting the team. The selector is intentionally static in this template, but the fields mirror the questions that determine whether a weighing or force measurement product can be quoted from catalog or needs engineering review.

Checkweighing systems

For packaging lines that need throughput, target weight, reject confirmation, and HACCP-ready records stated before hardware is selected.

Load cells and assemblies

For tanks, hoppers, conveyors, and OEM machines where capacity, mounting, signal, and environment define the recommendation.

Trade and retail scales

For legal-for-trade use where NTEP, MID, or OIML references must be verified for the operating region.

Force measurement kits

For quality checks tied to AQL, torque verification, tension testing, or fixture-dependent repeatability studies.

Product selection becomes easier when the request starts with the operating condition rather than a model number. A load cell for a protected bench fixture, a load cell below a washdown tank, and a load cell in a high-vibration conveyor system may share basic capacity language while requiring different accessories, sealing, junction hardware, and service assumptions. The same distinction applies to checkweighers, floor scales, truck scales, and force gauges. Rice Lake uses the selector questions to reveal those differences early.

For legal metrology, the approval region deserves special attention. A retail or custody-transfer scale may need NTEP, MID, OIML R76, or a local review before it can be treated as suitable. For quality control, the tolerance and calibration interval often matter more than a broad product label. For production, cleaning chemistry, operator access, vibration, and data integration can determine whether an instrument remains stable after installation. The selector is therefore a practical starting point for a quote that can be defended after purchase.
